The Voices Foundation issued this statement in full support of Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier’s efforts to hold Tampa Mayor Jane Castor accountable for sanctuary-style policies that put Floridians at risk. Angel families in Tampa, directly affected by these policies, are speaking out and we believe this is an urgent public safety issue for our community.

Titusville & Fort Myers, FL – Jan. 30, 2025 – Nikki Jones, President of the Voices Foundation, joined Governor Ron DeSantis and law enforcement officials to denounce the Florida Legislature’s weak immigration bill, warning it would hinder state enforcement efforts. The Voices Foundation, which provides support to families affected by crimes committed by illegal aliens, advocates for stronger immigration policies. Jones, whose husband was killed by an illegal alien, called for real solutions to protect Floridians. DeSantis vowed to fight against watered-down legislation, urging lawmakers to prioritize public safety.
